A teenager killed in a car crash in Sheffield has given the gift of life to others - after relatives agreed to donate his organs.
Cian Pace, aged 19, from Shirecliffe, died three days after the Vauxhall Corsa in which he was a passenger careered across tram tracks on Netherthorpe Road, near Brook Hill roundabout, before hitting a post.
Relatives gave the go-ahead for the teenager’s organs to be donated to save others.
A Facebook post read: “Thanks to Cian’s amazing wish to donate his organs he has saved multiple lives. No-one can imagine how proud our family is of this man. Love you so much.”
Cian was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham after the crash on November 10. He died on November 13.
The driver of the Corsa, a 19-year-old man from Sheffield, was taken with serious injuries to the Northern General Hospital where he remains. A 17-year-old girl passenger in the car has been discharged from the hospital.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash.
