REGAL Rex is a real looker.

A handsome, young, black and tan Rottweiler crossbreed puppy, this bouncy charmer is only nine months old and has no health issues.

He’s currently being cared for at the RSPCA in Attercliffe.

Animal Care Manager Tony Benham said: “He shows lots of potential to take instruction well, has a solid temperament, is friendly and likes attention.

“He’s an all-round jolly lad who loves his toys and running around the compound.

“But, being a puppy, he can get easily excited.

“He will need someone to carry on the good work we’ve already started in teaching Rex the best of doggy manners and basic obedience.” Rex will need a least two lots of 30-minute walks a day and potentially some added sessions of exercise.

Tony said he would also benefit from someone who can offer him an active home to keep his young mind stimulated.

He added: “Due to his naturally bouncy nature, owners without children would be our preferred choice.

“We don’t have any reason to believe that Rex wouldn’t be suitable to live with another dog.

“But we have noticed that, when he is on his lead, he can be vocal towards other dogs.”

The RSPCA Sheffield Branch is open each day from 12.30pm until 3.30pm, except Wednesdays.

The centre is also closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
