British Heart Foundation supporters turned out in force for an annual five mile walk on paths around Bawtry Forest.
Derek Spence, chairman of the BHF Bawtry branch, was delighted with the number of walkers of all ages.
The event is one of the main fundraising events of the branch year and is expected to raise several thousand pounds.
Mr Spence acknowledged the assistance given by the young people of the Bawtry 2008 Squadron of Air Training Corps who marshalled the route.
He also thanked landowner Sir Jack Whitaker for allowing the use of Bawtry Forest.
Among those taking part were John Walsh, chairman of the Bawtry Retailers’ Association, and his family and Toppings Pies boss Roger Topping, whose company is supporting the BHF this year.
Doncaster Rovers Health and Wellbeing Officer Richard Bailey represented the football club.
Diane Jarratt led a party of walkers from St Nicholas Church.
