MARVELS of medicine are among the half term attractions for youngsters in the Winter Garden this week - with students from both Sheffield universities acting as their guides.

Medics, artists, scientists and environmentalists of the future are providing a world of intriguing experiences and wacky workshops.

The aspiration-raising Dream Bigger Dreams event at the Sheffield city centre venue has been seeing youngsters and adults alike enjoying an array of fun and educational activities.

Budding doctors put their knowledge of the human anatomy to the test in the torso challenge where medical students shared their expertise in order to help children fit organs back into a model body.

The mini medics also measured their own pulse rates and temperatures with a helping hand from Professor Fluffy.

Greg Oldfield, event organiser, said: “The event has been a tremendous success and it is wonderful to see hundreds of youngsters enjoying it.”
