Have your say on fire changes

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue is urging people to put forward their views on proposed changes to its frontline services, with just three weeks to go until the end of a 14-week public consultation.

The consultation is on proposals to address a Government funding cut expected to reach £10m by 2015. Proposals include two new full-time fire stations, the first near Sheffield Parkway to replace Darnall and Mansfield Road stations and a second at Birley which would see the closure of the part-time fire station at Mosborough.

The consultation document is available to view at www.syfire.gov.uk and people can have their say by e-mailing serviceplan@syfire.gov.uk, by post to Public consultation, South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, 197 Eyre Street, Sheffield, S1 3FG, by Twitter: @syfr or on Facebook: South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue.
