SHEFFIELD Children’s Hospital Charity has been chosen as the South Yorkshire charity to benefit from a share of £40,000 being raised by retail and consumer finance company Buy As You View.

The firm is attempting to raise the cash through fundraising challenges to set up a community fund to mark its 40th anniversary.

Money will be split between charities in each of the six regions in which Buy As You View operates.

Rachel Morris, communications manager at Buy As You View, said: “Through this Fund we are able to involve all of our 700 staff in the fundraising which will be used to support our communities and the causes that are important to them.

“Rather than donating all of the proceeds from our fundraising activity to just one national charity, we wanted to support lesser-known causes that are close to the hearts of our customers.

“We hope to be able to make substantial donations to good causes such as the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

“It is dedicated to making a difference to people living in the areas in which we operate.”
