There was no room for reindeer and sleighs, but hundreds of Santas went through their paces in Sheffield city centre.
It was the traditional fundraiser for the British Heart Foundation, with participants donning Father Christmas outfits for a one-mile route around the Peace Gardens and town hall.
Jo Strong, organiser of Sunday’s Santa Jog, said: “We had an incredible turnout – more than 400 people - and we just couldn’t be more thrilled with the support.
“We had got babies, elderly people, even dogs taking part and there was such a great festive family atmosphere.”
The event was started by Rachel Wylde and her daughter, Molly, 11, who was diagnosed with a heart defect soon after birth. That was rectified, but she now needs surgery for a hole in the heart.
