SHEFFIELD Children’s Hospital has a new man at the top from this week.
Simon Morritt has become chief executive of the Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, moving from NHS Bradford and Airedale.
He replaces Chris Sharratt, who has retired after heading the hospital for 15 years and working for the NHS for more than 40 years. He will continue to work with the Department for Health on projects involving children’s services at a national level.
Mr Sharratt said: “I’ve overseen many changes in the last decade and feel that now is a good time for me to step back.”
He described the trust as “one of the best providers of children’s healthcare in the world”.
