A NEW cancer support service for the over 50s has been launched to help people in Sheffield.

The service is the first partnership between Age UK and Macmillan Cancer Support and will help people deal with problems as diverse as impractical housing, aids and adaptations, social isolation and lack of confidence.

Hearing aid repairs

STAFF from the Audiology Department at Barnsley Hospital are providing an outreach service at Enable Barnsley in Wellington House on the first Wednesday of the month between 10am and 2pm for hearing aid batteries, tubing and repairs.

Special agent play

A THEATRE group will pay tribute to one of BBC radio’s first special agents - Dick Barton - in a lively spoof. The production by Denys Edwards Players will be on at Sheffield’s Library Theatre from November 9 to 12.

Appeal for goods

AGE UK need extra donated goods to meet demand. Clothing, CDs, DVDs, or other items can be dropped off at the Norfolk Row shop in Sheffield city centre. For large collections call 0114 275 3179.
