On the run for Sheffield appeal
News: Sheffield Telegraph online 24-hours a day.
A SHEFFIELD community network for organisations, businesses and individuals is to hit the road for charity.
The ‘FunMeFit’ team will run the Sheffield half marathon on May 12 in aid of The Sick Children’s Trust’s Branching Out Appeal for extra accommodation for families at the Children’s Hospital.
The network was founded by Kate Hill, aged 28, alongside working and being a mother to two children. She will join the half marathon with husband Matthew Hill, family
members Lee Williamson and Lucy Walker and four other friends with the aim of raising £1,000.
Already Kate has helped the trust before, holding a Crosspool Healthy Fundraising Day last September. “Although I have never sought help from them personally, I know many families around Sheffield who have and I think that their work needs to be widely recognised and appreciated by the community,” she said.
