Pat Heathcote sailed through Christmas and New Year without adding a pound.
Then again, the 69-year-old, knows a thing or two about keeping trim. She has received a 30-year gold member ‘lifetime achievement’ award from a local Weight Watchers group.
Pat, of Stocksbridge, has maintained her weight since dropping from 13 stone to eight stone 13 over seven months in 1982.
She had started to struggle with her weight after giving birth. “Suddenly I was at home all day, snacking and eating whatever I felt like and the pounds began to creep on. Then I began fostering and child minding and the problem just got worse.”
