A Sheffield charity which supports people living with marks and scars affecting their appearance has been shortlisted for a National Lottery Award.
The Changing Faces Centre for Yorkshire and The Humber has reached the finals of the National Lottery Awards and needs public votes to win.
The centre opened on Rockingham Street in the city centre a year ago and has two full-time practitioners who offer support and advice to people with disfigurements and their families.
The charity helps build patients’ self-confidence so they can enjoy education, work and social lives.
The project is shortlisted in the best health project category and could win £2,000 and an appearance on national television if picked as the winner.
