FORMER Premiership and international football referee Uriah Rennie has officially launched a 5k sponsored walk in and around Don Valley Stadium next month that will raise money for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

Walk as One, on Sunday, October 16 at 10am, will bring together cancer survivors, people who have lost loved ones or had experience of cancer in their lives, supporters of the charity and the general public. Last year’s event saw more than 500 people take part and raise £30,000 for the charity.

Sheffield-based Uriah Rennie is the newest patron of the charity.

Walkers can register at www.wphcancercharity.org.uk or call 226 5370.
