Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is asking readers of the Sheffield Telegraph to nominate a team or member of staff who has gone above and beyond the call of duty over the past 12 months.

The Children’s Star Award can go to anybody working at the Children’s Hospital, the Becton Centre, Centenary House, Flockton House, Ryegate Children’s Centre and children’s health services in schools and the community.

It will be presented during a ceremony which celebrates the efforts and dedication of staff in March.

Chief executive Simon Morritt said it was “the perfect chance to celebrate and thank our staff who do such an incredible job all year round.”

Director of human resources Steven Ned said: “We have more than 2,000 staff working for us across the city and many go over and above for their patients every day.”

To nominate your Children’s Star, email your name, your nomination and reason for nominating to staffawards@sch.nhs.uk. Nominations close on January 31.
