JACKIE Towers left school at 15 without a qualification to her name - but she now has a degree and an urge to inspire others to fulfil their potential.
Despite her slow start, Jackie, aged 55, from Birley Carr, Sheffield, has always been a grafter.
The mum-of-two got her first job as an office junior but also signed on for adult education classes.
And now, with a degree from the Open University, she has her dream job as Stop Smoking Advisor at the Sheffield Quit Stop, helping people kick the habit.
Jackie said: “Anyone who says stay-at-home mums have no ambition hasn’t met mums like me. When most folk are winding down at 55, I’m just looking round at my wonderful job.”
