SHEFFIELD High School is celebrating its highest ever number of Oxbridge entrants, with more than 10% of the year group being offered a coveted place.

The 11 are Jo Yee Cheung (music), Elizabeth Heyes (natural sciences), Rebecca Lindley (modern and medieval languages), Catherine Bi (medicine), Katie Vernon (English literature), Caroline Appleby (modern languages), Bethan Elwood (veterinary medicine), Katherine Wensley (medicine), Claire Wills (law & European law), Sana Sharrack (medicine), Henrietta Hill (natural sciences).

Headteacher Valerie Dunsford said: “The demand for university places has been higher than ever this year so we are delighted with the girls’ achievements.”
