YOUNGSTERS from a Sheffield primary school were given a glimpse into their future – when they were among the very first people to be given a sneak preview of the city’s newest secondary.
A group of 25 pupils from Pye Bank School in Pitsmoor were given a VIP tour around the rebuilt Parkwood Academy, which will open for lessons after the summer break.
The campus has been transformed as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme – and will see the closure of the original school which has served the Shirecliffe community for over 70 years.
Tours have been organised all this week for Parkwood’s feeder primaries by Vinci Construction UK.
