TOTLEY resident Jennie Street opens her small suburban garden to the public on Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3 as part of the National Gardens Scheme.
She describes it as “quirky with an emphasis on recycling, water harvesting, composting and home food production”. There is a variety of shrubs and perennials, hanging baskets, junk sculptures and two topiary ‘beasts’.
The garden – at 16, The Grove – will also welcome visitors as one of 14 in the Totley area on Saturday and Sunday, July 9 and 10 in aid of charity Transport 17.
Admission is by programme costing £4 from Totley Library or on the open days from outside The Ironing Parlour shop at 170 Baslow Road.
