Jon finally arrives at mum's house for tea...in Wales! All part of his charity challenge year.

JON Maiden cycled from his home in Millhouses to his mum’s in Hay-on-Wye in Wales - in aid of cancer research.

The 150 miles journey took two days and is one of ten endurance challenges he has set himself in 2013 to raise more than £2,000 for the Association for International Cancer Research. Events to come include a 130-mile hike from Galway to Dublin, a 120-mile kayak from Inverness to the Isle of Mull and the Welsh 3000s challenge of 15 mountains in 24 hours.

Jon, aged 30, who founded Sheffield careers education company Big Green Fox, said: “My mum really does make the best lasagne in the world so it was worth every bite.”
