THE father of a teenager killed on his first holiday abroad four years ago today vowed never to give up on the fight for justice against his killers.

Sheffield Wednesday fan Matthew Cryer, aged 17, had headed to the Greek island of Zante with friends, but on July 21, 2008, the Killamarsh teenager died at the foot of a stairwell outside a nightclub in Laganas after being assaulted by bouncers.

Greek police originally said he had choked on his own vomit, but after evidence he was assaulted, his family are pressing the Greek authorities to take the case to trial.

Dad David said: “If I had a message for Matthew today it would be that we will just carry on.

“The past four years have been tiring for me and it’s so frustrating to have to deal with this.”
