A SPORTS broadcaster raised a toast to a Sheffield bar and brasserie to celebrate the firm collecting thousands of pounds for vulnerable children.
Kirsty Gallacher, who presents bulletins on Sky Sports News, presented a cheque for £10,000 to the NSPCC at Browns in the Peace Gardens. The eaterie donated £1 for every main course ordered from its summer menu.
Browns raised the £10,000 at its bars across the country, and Kirsty presented the cheque to Svetlana Kirov, the NSPCC’s head of corporate partnerships.
Kirsty, who has two children, said she was delighted to hand over the sum.
Simon King, Browns’ national retail director, said: “I’m so proud to be able to donate such a significant amount of money to the NSPCC. Keeping children safe from harm is a cause close to us all.”
