FOUR Sheffield actresses are bringing a local touch to a touring comedy production visiting the city this week.

Ray Ashmore, Sue Casson, Clare McManus and Aileen Westby have joined the cast of The Ladykillers, which is running at The Lyceum theatre until Saturday.

The quartet are appearing on stage as the elderly friends of eccentric widow Louisa Wilberforce, who is fooled into harbouring a gang of criminals in her home, and take part in one of the busiest and funniest scenes in the show.

They regularly work in Sheffield theatres on professional productions, and are part of the Sheffield People’s Theatre community ensemble.

The Ladykillers cast also includes former EastEnders and Extras actor Shaun Williamson, Clive Mantle from The Vicar of Dibley and Some Mothers Do ’Ave ’Em star Michele Dotrice.

Tickets are priced from £15 to £28, with discounts available. To book visit www.sheffieldtheatres.co.uk or call 0114 249 6000.
