Fans travelled from as far as Liverpool to make sure they could see the former Oasis frontman at the O2 Academy on November 12.

At the front of the queue was hospital radiographer Neil Hudson, aged 36, of Handsworth, who said: “I’ve been an Oasis fan since I was 18 and seen them eight times. I’ll now be at the front of the stage with my three mates to see Beady Eye. I booked the day off work to make sure we got tickets.”

Fans in the queue were served tea and biscuits by managers of the venue in Arundel Gate.
