The Distance

Few plays have followed a mother after she’s abandoned her children, and The Distance will certainly question the idea that a woman is inherently maternal.

ESRC Festival of Social Science

The Economic and Social Research Council is hosting a nationwide festival to engage people with the social sciences. Participants can find out what it’s like to apply for British citizenship in a session titled ‘How UK Are You?. Other talks cover data visualisation, sexuality, and loneliness. Sheffield Makers Fair

November 7, 10am-4pm

St Mary’s Church, S2 4QZ

£1 entry fee, FREE entrance for children under 16

The fair celebrates the work of Northern designers with more than 40 stalls offering a wide range of textiles, ceramics, glass work, paintings, and more. Homemade food will also be sold at the cafe.

Laura Moody

Laura Moody, a cellist, vocalist and singer-songwriter will bring her unique blend of classical and experimental pop to the gallery this Saturday.

Litter Pick

Two separate litter picks will be taking place this weekend. Chip in and help keep the neighbourhood clean! Supplies will be provided.

Remembrance Day Service

A special service led by the Lord Mayor Talib Hussain will take place on Remembrance Sunday. Show your support by attending the event, laying flowers and purchasing a poppy.
