Kind hearted managers, staff and tenants at Sheffield’s Aizlewood’s Mill heritage offices have been clearing out their cupboards to help raise funds for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

The Mill’s business centre manager Kate Levick came up with the idea to donate to the hospice when she heard several tenants talking about the great cause.

Kate said: “We decided to encourage a spring clean by running a charity bag collection for the Bluebell Wood shops.

“Between us we collected an incredible 63 bags of clothes, bric-a-brac, books, furniture and electrical items, which we’re told could raise a total of almost £1,000.”

James Bower, retail manager at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, said: “We are so grateful to have received so many donated items from staff at Aizlewood’s Mill.

“Each bag will raise on average £15 for Bluebell Wood. This will make a huge difference and help us continue our vital work with the children and families who need us most.”
