BREAKING: Woman charged with teenager murder appears in court
Casey Kierney
A WOMAN has appeared in court accused of murdering 13-year-old South Yorkshire schoolgirl Casey Kearney.
Relatives of the teenager attended the hearing at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court, at which 26-year-old Hannah Bonser spoke only to confirm her name and address.
She is charged with murder, and being in possession of two bladed articles, and was remanded in custody until she appears at Sheffield Crown Court next week.
Casey’s family issued a statement in which they spoke of their agony at her loss.
Casey died in Doncaster Royal Infirmary on Tuesday night after being rushed from Elmfield Park in Doncaster where she collapsed having been stabbed.
“Losing Casey has been so painful words cannot begin to explain,” they said.
“She was the most beautiful, intelligent and bright young girl with her whole life ahead of her.”
