Car robbers force way into man’s home

A MAN was punched about the head by two thugs who knocked on his door, forced their way into his home, stole the keys to his Audi and then fled in the car.

The man answered a knock on the door of his home on Potter Hill Lane, High Green, Sheffield, to two offenders who then forced their way past him and inside the property.

One of the intruders then assaulted the man, hitting him around the head and face, while demanding the keys to his car.

Both men then drove off in the vehicle, which was a white Audi A3 parked directly outside their shocked victim’s home.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Two men forced their way inside the property, one of the men then assaulted the occupier, hitting him around the head and face, while making demands for the keys to his car.

“The two men then drove off in the car, a 2012 white Audi A3.”

Police today appealed for information about the robbery, and want to hear from anybody who may know where the car is now.

The suspects were white, in their mid to late 30s.

Both were around 6ft and slim.

They wore dark tops with hoods and the drawstrings were pulled tight around their faces.

Anyone with information about the robbery at 2.30pm on Tuesday, September 25, should call police on 101 quoting incident number 533 of September 25.
