Church flats plan appeal dismissed

An appeal against Sheffield Council’s refusal of planning permission for Woodhouse Trinity Methodist Church in Chapel Street to be turned into 12 flats has failed. A Government inspector said that although the principle of conversion was acceptable, internal changes would affect the character of the listed building, and the living accommodation would not be up to standard.

Overlooking of neighbours was also a problem.
