Frogs leap to fore in garden survey

Nearly half of people in South Yorkshire who took part in a wildlife survey reported seeing common frogs in their gardens regularly.

Some 74% say grey squirrels are regular visitors, but 98% have never seen a red squirrel in their garden. Hedgehog populations have seriously declined, according to the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch.
