A ‘hermit’ who posted vile messages about the Hillsborough disaster online is facing jail.
Shamed John Boden, aged 24, said 96 deaths ‘was not enough’ and that he hoped someone dug up the bodies of the victims, tied their bones to the back of a Transit van and drove it around the streets of Anfield.
Boden, of Mereside, Lancashire, appeared at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court where he admitted two offences of sending a grossly offensive message via a public electronic communications network.
District Judge David Scanlon warned him: “Bearing in mind the nature of the messages and the effect on the recipients of the messages, there is a serious and genuine possibility this will attract a custodial sentence.”
Boden, who has mental health issues, was told he would be sentenced at a later date. The case was adjourned.
