A former Sheffield man left fighting for life following a jeep safari crash in Turkey is still in hospital.

Michael Horne, aged 53, is in an induced coma following the crash near Hisaronu on Sunday.

His partner Valerie Olton, 53 and her friend Alison Conroy, 54, both died in the collision.

Their jeep left the road and ploughed into a telegraph pole as they returned to their hotel following a day trip while on holiday.

Michael was born and lived in Sheffield for over 40 years but now lives in Hertfordshire.

Two of his six children, from Sheffield, travelled to Turkey today to be by his bedside.

His other four children are also hoping to travel out to see him.

Michael and Valerie were on holiday with Alison and her partner, Charles Belham, 57, when tragedy struck.
