Kind-hearted Sheffield staff help Tina get a groom

Tina is back looking her best after a grooming session.

A dishevelled dog has been given a special clean-up after offender management staff intervened in her care.

Border collie cross Tina has been owned for 16 years by an ex-offender who suffers with mental health problems, who was paid a visit by Hannah Beet, offender manager for Sheffield Community Rehabilitation Company.

Although well-loved, the pet was in urgent need of a visit to the groomers - and Hannah took it upon herself to phone charity PDSA for advice. Colleagues then raised £161 to pay for the treatment.

Another colleague then rang her dog groomer, Rivendown All Pets Grooming Services in Hoyland, to book Tina in - but after hearing the story they groomed Tina for free.

After two hours of TLC, Tina is now back looking her best and her owner has been given tips to keep her in shape. Hannah said: “I wanted to help and was blown away by the generosity of my colleagues.”
