Minister visits Peak Park ahead of Le Tour

Government minister Lord de Mauley visited the Peak District National Park today to see preparations on the ground for the Tour de France Grand Départ.

He travelled part of the race route and visited Holme Moss where he met Peak Park rangers, staff and volunteers and representatives of local councils.

The minister for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs also saw the work being done to protect the Peak.
