NEWS IN BRIEF: Hospital check-up for fire victim

A MAN was taken to hospital as a precaution after flames from a wheelie bin set alight outside his house spread to the door.

Firefighters were called to Wesley Close, Grimesthorpe, Sheffield, at 11pm on Sunday.

Skips set alight

ARSONISTS were to blame for two skips going up in flames over the weekend: one on Beaver Drive, Woodhouse, Sheffield, the other on Steel Street, Holmes, Rotherham.

Trailer ablaze

A CAR trailer was set alight outside a house on Bramley Park Road, Handsworth, Sheffield. Firefighters dealt with the blaze yesterday, 12.40am.

Car burned out

A VAUXHALL Corsa was deliberately set alight on Manor Crescent, Grimethorpe, Barnsley, early yesterday.

Fault starts fire

AN electrical fault was to blame for a fire in the attic of a house on Priory Road, Sharrow, Sheffield, on Saturday No-one was hurt.
