Old people’s flats for school site

The former Woolley Wood Special School in Oaks Fold Road, Shiregreen, is due to be replaced by accommodation for old people.

Plans for 46 one and two bedroom apartments are in line for council approval on Tuesday after officers concluded that the development would make “a positive contribution” to the area.

The council has sold the site to Sanctuary Housing.
