A DRUG dealer behind a plot to sell heroin and crack cocaine worth £220,000 on the streets of Sheffield has been locked up for 12 years.

Buyers travelled from as far as Scotland and Wales to meet Usman Malook’s associates at Meadowhall to buy heroin and cocaine, Sheffield Crown Court heard.

He was also involved in deals at a Sheffield hotel and near the railway station.

Malook, aged 24, of Stoney Ridge Road, Kiveton Park, tried to keep himself at arm’s length from the handovers, but police kept him under surveillance and analysed calls made on his numerous mobile phones.

He admitted two counts of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug.

Judge Rosalind Coe QC said: “Together with others you supplied sizeable quantities of heroin and cocaine. People travelled from north Wales and Scotland to obtain the drugs. It appears to me your role in these deals was very much a leading one.”
