SNOW showers which South Yorkshire woke up to today are expected to continue into tomorrow.

Much of the county wokE up to a covering of snow this morning and weather forecasters are predicting flurries of snow throughout today and tomorrow.

A spokeswoman for the MeteoGroup forecasters said temperatures today could fall as low as -5 today.

She added: “The theme of today is snow showers coming in from the North East

“There won’t be too much of a snow accumulation, possibly 1-2cms, but the showers will continue most of day and this evening.

“They will continue overnight and the brisk wind will remain.

“It is expected that the show showers will die out by the middle of the week and the weather will turn milder and wet at the end of the week.”
