Unsafe buildings go at paper mill

Demolition of unsafe buildings has been getting under way at the Oughtibridge Paper Mill.

The buildings contain high levels of asbestos, and work at the mill - owned by Swedish firm SCA - is expected to last for several weeks.

Temporary traffic lights will be put in place next month on the A6102, which the facility fronts onto.

Paper-making ceased at the mill after the 2007 floods and it is due to close next year.
