Lovebytes digital art in one weekend

THIS year's Lovebytes festival of digital art will be concentrated on one weekend, May 9-10, rather than spread out over a week as in previous years.

However, the Millennium Galleries' contribution, Advanced Beauty, a multi-screen exhibition of new video sound sculptures curated by Sheffield-based creative studio Universal Everything and sound artist Freeform, will continue through to August.

Sheffield designer, Matt Pyke, founder of Universal Everything, will premiere the DVD of Universal Everything at the Showroom on the Friday evening.

Other Lovebytes attractions are Algorithm, a digital sound performance featuring snd, Stephan Mathieu and COH (Ivan Pavlov), and Olsen, experimental film programmers from Leeds, Joe Gilmore, Sarah Handley and William Rose.
