THESE five females have girl power by the gallon!

There is generations of the stuff in this line-up after bouncing baby Maisey Martin came into the world.

She joins proud Sheffield mum Emma Carter, 19, grandma Christina Carter, 40, of Waterthorpe, great-grandma Madeline Oakes, of 64, and great-great grandma Margaret Hodgson, 84, of Mosborough.

Madeline, of Hackenthorpe, said: “It’s something that doesn’t happen very often in the first place, getting five generations of a family all together.

“And it’s even more unusual with all girls.

“To be honest I think there are five generations on my husband’s side as well, his mum is 93.

“We were all very pleased and proud when Maisey arrived.

“We are quite a close family and there are quite a few of us girls.

“Hopefully there may end up being even more girls in the line up.”

Maisey is the daughter of hotel worker dad Aaron Martin and Emma, who live in Westfield, near Waterthorpe. She is their first child together.

Emma said: “We were so chuffed when we found out it was a girl. It’s lovely to have all of us girls lined up together for a photograph.”

Little Maisey was born back in January, weighing 6lb 15oz.

She is now thriving despite having an infant form of asthma which saw her taken to Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Emma said: “She’s rolling over and can nearly sit up, she’s even got her first tooth!

“We do outnumber the boys a little bit in our family.

“I can’t wait until Maisey is a bit older and we can all enjoy girly shopping trips together.”
