Police confirmed this week that they are not treating a fire at a house in Glenwood Crescent, Chapeltown, in which a man died, as suspicious.
Firefighters found the semi-detached house well alight on Saturday at about 1am. A 64-year-old man, who was in a bedroom, was treated at the scene by paramedics, but he died in hospital.
Firefighters believe the victim was responsible for the blaze. An inquest will be held.
