A FIRST-TIME author will see the stories which were inspired by life in her home city of Sheffield showcased at the Miami Book Fair in November.
It was not until care home worker Sue Grantham retired that she produced Tales of Hamlet Way, set in the fictional village of Hamlet, which was released in the summer.
Publisher Author Solutions selected the collection of stories to bring a British flavour to the international book fair.
Sue, aged 62, of Owlthorpe, said: “I believe my book will be enjoyed by the US public because it is the essence of the British character. It is also set in a typical English village with the village green duck pond and the close community atmosphere, which the Americans love.”
