FRUSTRATED tenant Naomi Horner is still waiting for repairs to her Sheffield council house - four months after reporting problems.
The mum-of-two, of Boynton Road, Shirecliffe, has lived there for two years, but problems surfaced when she decided to redecorate last autumn.
She said: “Once I started stripping wallpaper off, the plaster was cracked and started coming off, leaving exposed wires.
“I also reported a loose door and windows, mould, and flooring upstairs in a poor condition.
“There is so much wrong with the house.”
Sheffield Homes sent contractors to fix the plaster - but Naomi, who lives with her children aged two and five, said: “Everything else is still waiting to be done. It’s ridiculous.”
Jason Siddall, Sheffield Homes maintenance partnership team manager, said: “Ms Horner first contacted us in November to inform us plaster was coming off the walls of her lounge as she attempted to decorate.
“As soon as we were made aware of the problem we arranged for a contractor to plaster the affected walls.
“Officers identified the plaster in Ms Horner’s property is quite old and it was therefore brittle as she attempted to remove the wallpaper in other parts of the property also.
“All work identified has been completed on time or has been planned with Ms Horner.”
