Nationwide cafe and cake shop chain Patisserie Valerie has opened its first branch in Doncaster.
The firm, which combines a unique cafe atmosphere with the best quality cakes and patisserie, open its outlet in the Frenchgate Centre earlier this week.
The 1,900 sq ft unit will offer all day breakfast and brunch, speciality sandwiches and continental snacks, as well as the handmade patisserie and cake range.
Paul Devlin of The Frenchgate Limited Partnership, said: “The signing of the first Patisserie Valerie in Doncaster further reinforces our appeal and Frenchgate’s status as a quality regional retail and leisure destination.
“Our active management of Frenchgate is creating a strong customer focused line-up whilst also generating a great deal of interest from prospective retailers and dining operators."

Patisserie Valerie was first opened in Frith Street in London's Soho in 1926 by Belgian born Madam Valerie.
She came to London on a mission to introduce fine Continental patisserie to the English and it was an instant success. During the Second World War the Frith Street premises were bombed by the Luftwaffe and Madam Valerie subsequently set up shop around the corner in Old Compton Street where her legacy continues to this day.
The chain has expanded rapidly since 2006, growing from eight shops in 2006 to 124 as of November 2015.
