News In Brief: Bus route hope

A THREATENED bus service along Cemetery Road and Psalter Lane could be saved after public pressure.

Some 600 people signed a petition calling for the Number 4 service to be retained.

Now it is thought South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive is examining the feasibility of running the route on a not-for-profit basis.

Autism centre boost

A NEW centre in Sheffield to support people with autism spectrum disorders has been given a £10,000 donation by Westfield Health.

Autism Plus’s building at Exchange Brewery on Bridge Street, near the Wicker, will have a drama studio, IT resources and extra support services for people using the charity’s services.
