Adventurous Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from Sheffield got to grips with nature during a special visit to Hardwick Hall.
The youngsters and their families were invited to the hall by the National Trust, which has teamed up with scouting groups to encourage children to experience outdoor adventures.
During their visit children and families enjoyed nature walks, pond dipping, bug hunting and a chance to practise forestry with the Hardwick rangers.
Chris Eyre, group scout leader for the 16th Westbourne Sheffield Scout Group, said: “We had a fantastic day at Hardwick.
“Scouting is run by volunteers, so we really value partnerships with organisations like the National Trust that allow us to offer young people great opportunities for adventure outdoors.”
