The Button Tin, the studio of textile artist Gemma Nemer in a glass-roofed Victorian arcade at Imperial Buildings in Rotherham has been ‘bombed’ with thousands of neon wool tassels.

Yarn Bombing, a process of transforming outdoor and urban spaces with colourful yarn, fabric, knitting and crochet has been taking the country by storm. Its creator, Mancunian Kerry Howarth, met Gemma at a Folksy Summer School event in Sheffield and hatched the plan.
