The Animal Gaze Returned, an exhibition jointly organised by the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University, shows how humans and animals interact with each other, and question how animals are traditionally represented in art.

This example is by Olivier Richon, Swiss photographer and professor at the Royal College of Art in London whospecialises in depictions of animals laden with symbolism from art history. It’s at Sheffield Institute of Arts Gallery, until September 2.
