The Frank & Stein bierkeller style bar, which serves up sausages and two-pint beer steins, held its official opening in Doncaster at the weekend.

The bar replaces the Cuban-themed Che Bar which shut its doors in Silver Street last month.

Drinkers at the new venue will be able to tuck into five different types of frankfurter sausages as well as downing two pint steins of authentic German beers at the bar, which will stay open until 3am.

Tipplers will also be able to sample the pub's own specially brewed beer Mad Ludwig as well as German stein cocktails.

A spokesman for the club posted on the bar's Facebook page: "You will be amazed at the changes. Frankfurters until 10pm and then the party will start until 3am. Trust us, seeing is believing."

Che Bar closed on May 2 - almost ten years after it was first unveiled to drinkers for the first time and after welcoming 1,500,000 customers through its doors.

The pub was named after legendary revolutionary Che Guevara, a key figure in the Cuban Revolution and a counterculture symbol of rebellion for more than six decades.
