Scouts, pensioners and the Lord Mayor of Sheffield Coun Peter Rippon have all tried their hand at a free table tennis project.

The city’s Albert Premier Table Tennis Club is running the Ping project, where table tennis tables are placed around the city for free use, and say people aged from five to 75 have joined in.

An indoor ‘ping pong parlour’ is also open in the old Poundland store on The Moor.
